Strategic Digital Campaigns Manager
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is a world-leading government body that makes sure competition works in consumers’ favour and that businesses treat their customers fairly. With markets and consumers’ habits changing quickly, our work is particularly important and exciting. Following the UK’s exit from the EU, the CMA will play a bigger role on the world stage and will take on more complex and high-profile cases, bringing a greater need for businesses to be aware of how to stay on the right side of the law.
As the Strategic Digital Campaigns Manager, you will lead and deliver a coherent digital marketing strategy to educate business audiences, using paid for marketing channels to drive better awareness of what we do, ensuring outcomes are understood and the CMA's reputation is enhanced. This will involve working closely with creative and planning agencies, ensuring that they deliver against briefs and the internal governance is in place to support their work. You will also build productive relationships with colleagues across the Strategy, Communications and Devolved Nations team to ensure a coordinated approach to the promotion of the CMA.
We are seeking someone who is able to advise senior stakeholders and manage external agencies. The successful candidate will have significant strategic communications and digital marketing experience including developing, planning and delivering marketing campaigns and content for a customer audience. Demonstrable editorial and drafting skills with the ability to write clear, succinct and persuasive copy, is equally important.
The CMA is a hugely rewarding and stimulating place to work – an opportunity to work for the public good and to stretch and develop yourself in doing so.
In return we offer generous benefits, including an excellent pension scheme, at least 25 days leave (increasing to 30 over five years), and generous maternity/paternity leave provision. You can also take advantage of interest-free season ticket loans, a cycle to work scheme, our employee well-being programme and favourable consideration of flexible working.
Closing date: 03 December 2018.
The CMA is an accredited Disability Confident Employer and are Stonewall Diversity Champions. As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome suitably qualified applicants from all backgrounds and recruit by merit on the basis of fair and open competition, as outlined in the Civil Service Commission's recruitment principles.
