Strategist – the role

The strategy team is now looking for a talented brand strategist to bring creativity, imagination, business acumen and cultural insight. This person will help define and shape the strategic output for the agency. The strategist will bring creativity and flair to their work, built on a foundation of strong analytical & insight skills. The team is looking for people who can make imaginative leaps into the future and have the ability to take others with them.

This person may currently be working in a large agency or a boutique one, in branding, brand communications or have an integrated/brand comms background.

Strategist – main tasks

Work with CD and CST to plan the  overall approach to projects, and suggest the strategic role a project should take

Be involved in planning strategic output within the budget, suggesting how the team might deliver insights through research, workshops, brand models, message frameworks and creative briefs.

Implement and/or oversee the work required to fulfill the strategic stages of a project

Work closely with account management team to get a clear understanding of the client’s brand, objectives and needs

Develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders

To be a strategic support for the whole account and throughout the any specific project, checking strategic advice and creative solutions are in line with the clients objectives and goals

Support the CST in writing proposals, presentations and creative briefs

Persuasive and engaging presenter, able to effectively sell in strategic insights or to convince others in a way which gains acceptance / agreement and / or change

Compelling and articulate in meetings and presentations

Ensure the strategy is effectively communicated, understood and implemented (internally and with the client)
