Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Comms, the purpose of the Senior Marketing Officer role is to lead on all marketing and communications activity relating to the recruitment and engagement of our client's customers, working with colleagues from across the organisation to provide and market a high-quality film education programme.

The organisation

Our client is an education charity that puts film at the heart of children and young people’s educational and personal development.  Working with the education and informal youth sectors, they provide 5-19 year olds with unparalleled opportunities to learn through and about film.  Their ambitious UK-wide programme includes a network of extra-curricular film clubs, educational resources, training opportunities, a cinema-based film festival and the annual Into Film Awards. To their knowledge, no other UK-wide cultural education initiative has such a high take-up by schools and youth groups, with over 16,000 film clubs registered so far.  They work with a range of partners in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, in addition to the film industry at large and several high profile ambassadors.  Their work is supported by the BFI, through the National Lottery, and other film organisations including Cinema First.

The Role

The post-holder will lead on marketing all aspects of Into Film Account Holder and Into Film Club recruitment and engagement including Training, Resources, the Into Film Festival, and other major campaigns that take place across the year. The Senior Marketing Officer will also take line management responsibility for the Marketing Officer, ensuring their work is planned and they are supported to access training and development opportunities.

The successful candidate will need experience of managing cross-channel marketing and communications campaigns, an excellent working knowledge of digital marketing including paid, owned and earned media, experience of managing marketing and communications agencies, including briefing, budget setting, monitoring and reporting.
