PRWeek, the leading publication for the PR and communications industry, is looking for an ambitious and skilled journalist for a combination of reporting and data journalism.
The new role will involve two key elements. Firstly, investigating and writing news stories and news analysis about issues affecting the sector, with a particular focus on breaking news.
But as the job progresses we expect the successful candidate to be involved in a number of PRWeek’s major projects. This will typically include planning and writing in-depth articles based on data and research, and overseeing some aspects of the data creation and organisation process. The projects include PRWeek’s agency listings (the Top 150), the directory of the most influential people in the industry (the Power Book), our Best Places to Work awards and insights programme, and more.
An eye for news and excellent writing skills are essential. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate an ability to produce long-form analytical articles and be very comfortable handling data and reports content. Knowledge of the marketing communications industry is preferred but not essential.
