Our client is a global consumer goods powerhouse with an attractive brand portfolio that is comprised of household name brands. An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the EMEA marketing team for a Category Manager to work cross functionally to develop and deploy tools for growth to all EMEA markets.
Reporting to the Senior Shopper Marketing Manager this Category Manager role requires someone who is comfortable developing commercial recommendations based on sound consumer, competitor and category analysis. You be an expert in data manipulation with the ability to identify and recommend strategies that enable the business to develop strong brand and product innovation stories that allow the sales team to optimise distribution and on shelf presence. You will be tasked with creating best in class trade sell in materials, merchandising solutions and assets, taking an Omni-channel approach to growing categories.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced category manager. If you also have marketing communications or trade marketing experience it would be an advantage. You will be comfortable with data such as GFK, Nielsen and Kantar and will have the marketing know-how to turn the data into a compelling category selling story. This would suit someone looking to move from a pure category management role into a more marketing led category role. For a confident self starter with a breadth of commercial and marketing experience this could be a great opportunity to stretch into a bigger role in a global marketing setting.
