The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET and WSET Awards) is an awarding body and registered charity devoted to the development and delivery of qualifications and courses in wines and spirits. Established in 1969 for the UK wine trade, WSET has since grown to become the global industry leader with offices in London and Hong Kong.

Our qualifications are available through a network of over 700 Approved Programme Providers (APPs) working in over 70 countries and 19 languages.

Key Responsibilities:
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will provide support to the broader marketing team across a range of varied projects with specific responsibility for:

Social Media

  • Day-to-day management of all social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram). 
  • Creation and publication of engaging content in-line with our content strategy and plan 
  • Running paid campaigns
  • Monitoring, measurement and reporting 
  • Responding to customer enquiries 
  • Researches and monitors activity of competitors / influencers
  • Identify brand influencers and ambassadors

Email Marketing

  • Support end-to-end email activity, including planning, building, writing, proofing and broadcasting of emails
  • Closely monitor and report on performance 
  • Optimise email campaigns through a test and learn approach
  • List management 

Websites

  • Content management for our website and jobs board 
  • Reporting and measurement using google analytics and tracking tools
  • Day-to-day management of the WSET job board enquiries and inbox

Reporting and Support

  • Compile monthly reports
  • Day-to-day management of the team email in-box, responding to or triaging enquiries as required
  • Support the team on ad-hock requests as needed
  • You may on occasion be asked to attend Trade shows or events, this may include evening and weekend work for which you will receive TOIL.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria

  • You must have demonstrable experience in a similar role 
  • Have strong copy writing and proofing skills
  • Have a strong understanding of the social media landscape and how it can be utilised to grow brands
  • Be confident using CRM systems, Google Analytics, Microsoft office and Email platforms such as Dot Mailer and/or Mailchimp
  • Understand the principles of SEO and PPC 
  • High levels of attention to detail with a passion for continual improvement
  • Ability to think laterally and solve problems 
  • Fluent written English 

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Experience with Umbraco CMS and or Dotmailer 
  • Photography or videography skills
  • Drinks industry or education sector experience highly regarded
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics
  • Photography or videography skills
  • A second language
