The Account Manager role

A shared role on two busy accounts that are fun to work on.  The agency is the brand lead on both accounts and does everything.

The agency is seeking an Account Manager to spend 50% of their time on a well-known account that wants to maintain No1 position in a busy, mercurial sector. 

The lucky Account Manager will be handling a booming account, challenging its competitors and promoting ever more innovative communication methods.

The role offers in spades strategic leadership opportunity, huge creative opportunities, major production responsibility and a great client relationship.

The Account Manager will be handling a massive new product launch doing a cradle to grave campaign across all the comms touch points.  

This is the kind of work that most Account Managers hope to do at least once in their career.

The creative sings rather than reasons!

The client is likeable but challenging and is determined to be a category-disruptor and leave the traditional behind.  The account would suit a big personality who likes to flex their creative muscles as the client won’t be shackled to convention and creative is their weapon of choice to fight off any competition.

The remaining 50% of the Account Manager’s time will be spent managing an online gaming account in the sports arena.  This is a new win for the agency.

It is an incredibly interesting time for the account which operates in a competitive category full of small brands jockeying for position which all have some sort of product or communications differentiation.  The client doesn’t currently have either of these!

But they want to change this so they can quickly start competing with the category leaders and this is why they have chosen this particular agency.

The Account Manager will be managing on-going campaigns and creative development for the UK and Europe.  The client wants to make great category defining work and they are growing very fast.  There is huge opportunity for the Account Manager to make lots of brilliant stuff.

This year the agency will be launching new creative campaigns for the UK and Europe doing full above the line campaigns working their way through the sporting calendar.

The client is bold but thoughtful as well.  They want to work closely with the agency to throw a lasso over the head of fickle consumers and reel them in.  The Account Manager will be handling a dynamic account whose mission is to tug at the attention span of the time-poor consumer.

In a nutshell the account has that rare troika of supple creative, immaculate delivery and a genius for storytelling.  Put that together with the clients’ ambition and there is a recipe for award winning work.  

There are a lot of creative opportunities and the briefs are very interesting.

There is an integrated philosophy and the account includes everything from TV and print to digital and social media.
