The Company: Exciting tailor-made travel business with plans for aggressive growth, looking for a Head of Digital Marketing who has aspirations of becoming a Marketing Director within 2-3 years.

The Role: My client is a relatively new business, growing through acquisition and part of a private equity group. Currently on the lookout for a Head of Digital Marketing who will come into the business and shape the marketing strategy to achieve business growth through new customer acquisition, whilst maintaining the strong retention of repeat customers. With a strong bias to digital marketing, you will look to work with the MD on creating a robust and engaging strategy, leading a small team of digital marketing executives and remaining hands-on with the delivery of the strategy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create marketing strategy with an emphasis on digital engagement and growth
  • Drive traffic to the website to ensure high engagement and conversion through to enquiry and bookings
  • Bring PPC in-house and ensure campaigns are relevant and producing strong ROI
  • Creation of engaging content using organic SEO and social media
  • Use of CRM to begin utilising email marketing channels and development of key messaging and customer segmentation
  • Use of re-marketing and display
  • Introduce affiliates and partners
  • Leadership and management of team
  • Budget management and responsibility for reporting

The Candidate: You will be a strong digital marketing manager who has the breadth of experience across all digital channels, paid, earned and owned and must be able to demonstrate how you have driven an increase in traffic and conversion which has ultimately increased revenue. Your background will be B2C and previous experience in travel or leisure would be hugely advantageous. As well as being a strategic digital expert, you must also be happy maintaining a very hands-on approach to assist the team with the operational delivery. Highly commercial and analytical, you will be striving for excellence and want to be a Marketing Director within two-three years. The company is on a journey and you will be excited and motivated to be part of that.

As well as the salary of £50,000 - £60,000, the benefits which accompany the role are as follows; 25 days holiday plus BH, statutory pension, management bonus and holiday concessions.
