The Company

Our client is a highly successful division of a major FMCG food and drinks company operating across a number of diverse categories. The company has a significant presence in the premium soft drinks category with their market leading brands. The business has some really exciting future growth plans for both existing and new brands, supported by substantial marketing investment.

As a result of continued growth, they are looking for a Marketing Director to drive their portfolio of brands, set the future strategic direction and coach and inspire the marketing team.

The Role

Reporting in to the Managing Director, with 5 direct reports, your remit will be to lead the end-to-end marketing function with responsibility for brand marketing, R&D, project management and brand & shopper activation. You will be tasked with the strategic commercial direction for all of the brands within the business, delivering fully-integrated marketing plans.

You will have overall charge of the brands’ P&Ls to operating income level, along with responsibility for the delivery of their annual business plans and processes and of the overall marketing budget. Your challenge will be to develop growth — identifying insights and category growth drivers, managing a challenging innovation pipeline, delivering new packaging and product formats, while at the same time driving brand activation and promotional initiatives in conjunction with the company& major customers and markets.

About you

You have a track record of driving market-beating growth in a branded FMCG environment, with broad experience across above-the-line advertising, product innovation and commercial management. You are a clear, strategic thinker, possess board-level marketing experience and are an inspirational leader. You have an excellent understanding of the grocery retail and on-trade channels.
