Working with the head of ecommerce to improve the customer experience of the existing site.

Client Details

Michael Page have teamed up with a luxury jewellery brand, looking to expand their growing team.


The key responsibilities for the eCommerce manager are:

  • Day-to-day management of the eCommerce website. This consists of processing returns, exchanges and payments plus customer support
  • Validating orders including fraud checks
  • Reports: weekly reporting and analysis of sales traffic
  • Daily monitoring and updating of products and content on the global eCommerce website
  • Support Marketing Team on Global digital marketing and campaign implementation
  • Provide the Communications team (Marketing and PR) with social media, display, campaign and newsletter support
  • Be the eCommerce brand guardian, ensuring that all digital assets, products and communications are in line with brand guidelines
  • Work closely with the Digital & E-Commerce Director on PPC, SEM, Social retargeting: daily monitoring and optimisation of campaigns
  • Collaborate, alongside the Marketing Team and agencies on the management and optimisation of digital campaigns
  • Manage the pipeline of website A/B tests working with UX Designers and Front End
  • Developers to maximise our conversion rates
  • Adopt a data-first approach to understand, analyse, report and act on the data available to
  • us using Google Analytics, Google Optimize and other CRO-related platforms
  • Carry out regular quantitative and qualitative research on customers to understand our
  • conversion data using surveys, polls, heatmaps and recordings
  • Manage external agencies that we see as an extension of our team on a daily basis to help
  • boost our conversion rates and AOVs
  • Manage Google Tag Manager containers
  • Have extensive commercial acquisition experience, using SEO to drive site traffic Have experience of owning a website, including analysing and developing customer experiences through UX


The successful eCommerce manager will be helping and supporting with the customer journey of the main site. You will have come from a luxury background with proven stats on how your work has improved the footprint of the site.

You will have:

  • Good knowledge of: Content Management Systems (CMS), Photoshop, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Google Analytics, Google Webmaster
  • A passion for all things digital and a desire to learn
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS and UX principles
  • Good knowledge on Accessibility
  • Preferable: a basic understanding of .Net, MVC and SQL
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • Genuine interest in luxury and fashion retail
  • Good with data and a strong attention to detail
  • Enjoy a team dynamic and confident when tackling new challenges
  • Goal oriented and performance driven
  • Have the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ideally have broad digital marketing experience, including PPC, email, mobile and social
