Senior Designer with 3 years+ in senior UX/UI roles with e-commerce or transactional sites.

UX/UI Designer - Up to £45,000 - Greater London

THE COMPANY
Respected travel company offering bespoke tours to travellers, head office based in central London. You will work with the web team and digital product manager to continually improve the user-experience and the visual design of the sites. This is a company that believes in entrepreneurial thinking and bypassing processes that restrict creativity.

THE ROLE
We have a new brief through to join the in house brand and marketing team at a travel company based near London Bridge. They have recently undertaken a digital transformation and are now recruiting for a FT UI/UX designer.

The main focus of your role will be design but in order to create the best work you will want to know the business, it's partners and customers and be motivated to constantly know what's happening with competitors.

Working with multiple stakeholders in the business you will be a natural collaborator and passionate about making improvements to the user experience that result in more interest and tours being booked!

YOU
As the new lead experience designer you will be equal parts UI and UX - enjoying complex design challenges and delighting in the validation - user research and testing through prototypes to wireframe to visual/interface design.

You will be supported by a developer and other devs working remotely.

We are looking for a commercially-minded designer: someone interested in more than just the aesthetics. The design solutions you are responsible for implementing need to lead to real, demonstrable growth for the business.

You will have
- more than 3 years in a senior design role ideally with some e-commerce or transactional aspects to your work
- a strong portfolio of UI and UX work more web than app or campaigns
- experience carrying out your own research to validate design ideas
- experience improving on user experience ad design through data driven (A/B) testing is a plus
- understanding of the limitations of html/CSS development (and ideally some proficiency)
- Travel experience a bonus but not essential
