The Copywriter Role:
You’re a first-rate copywriter with at least three years’ experience and a bonafide love of advertising.
Working as part of a brilliant copy team in a multidisciplinary creative department, you’ll write distinctive, persuasive and memorable copy for campaigns.
You’ll work alongside designers, developers, content creators and strategists in our Brighton HQ. And your role will be shaped around our values – Curious, Brave and Accountable.

You’re always looking to learn and innovate. You get the complicated marketing ecosystem, you’re actively engaged with it and you want to make your mark on it.
You have a proven ability to respond creatively to briefs, articulate your ideas and adjust your tone of voice fluently in line with brand guidance.
You’re bold in your work and ready to challenge and defend it. You’re confident presenting and pitching your ideas at internal crits and in front of clients. And you know how to give and receive constructive feedback.
Reporting to a Lead Copywriter, you’ll coordinate your own clients from first creative response to campaign execution. You’re highly organised, able to manage your own workflow and communicate with teams across the agency.
You’ll be responsible for…
+ Writing spot-on advertising copy across social platforms and for various media publishers
+ Respecting client style and tone-of-voice requirements
+ Taking a lead role in the ideas phase of tenders and pitches
+ Interrogating and improving your own work, and that of other writers
+ Being part of the critical exchange with the wider creative team
+ Giving guidance to junior writers and taking part in team development
+ Editing your own and others’ copy and providing helpful feedback
+ Working with multiple teams to deliver work for multiple clients and to deadline
What are we looking for?
+ Graduate in English, journalism, critical/creative writing, marketing, advertising, communications or similar (unless professional writing experience can match this)
+ 3+ years’ experience writing in an agency/creative environment
+ Exceptional writing skills and knowledge of the English language
+ Calm under pressure
+ Ability to generate own ideas
+ Confident giving and receiving constructive feedback
+ Razor-sharp proofing and proven editing skills
+ Creative, articulate, decisive, personable
