We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist / Data Analyst based in Leeds, with data analysis and / or data journalism experience to lead the research, data analysis, design and development aspects of content marketing projects for a Creative Digital Agency.

Our client was formed 6 years ago and has quickly grown to over 100 digital marketers spanning the UK, US and South America. Their clients, which include startups, midsize business and FTSE 100 companies, rely on them to drive their growth. The Data Scientist / Data Analyst will be based in Leeds city centre working out of amazing offices that offer open plan working with free tea and coffee on tap and break out spaces for creative thinking. The team of 11 is a tight-knit family that are supportive and diverse in their skills, providing a full spectrum of talent to produce winning campaigns for their clients.

The Data Scientist / Data Analyst will primarily being working with large data sets for analysis and story-telling using Tableau, R, Python, advanced Excel or similar. Whether you are coordinating teams of writers, graphic designers and research assistants, providing creative editorial, design feedback and direction to peers, organising revision whilst managing multiple projects, it will be your analysis skills and attention to detail that will move projects forward and ensure their success for clients.

To qualify.. Whether you are a Data Scientist / Data Analyst / Graduate Data Analyst / Junior Data Analyst / Digital Project Manager / Digital Project Manager / Creative Data Analyst / Digital Marketing Manager or similar you will have a CV that demonstrates:

• You are educated to degree level or similar in a relevant subject;
• Familiarity with at least one of the following or similar: Tableau, R, Python, advanced Excel;
• Bonus points for experience with visualising data/additional design experience, any programming experience;
• Top-level Internet research skills -- you should be a Google Master;
• Strategic, creative problem-solving skills with the drive of a self-starter and resourcefulness to overcome obstacles independently;
• Working knowledge of engaging, useful web content;
• Impeccable attention to detail. Written material with any typos or grammatical errors is unacceptable;
• Quick to learn new platforms or systems, like Asana, Airtable, Jira, and Tableau;
• You should be able to multitask and manage your time well. Organisation and planning are paramount to your success;
• Ability to manage yourself but also work within a team.
