This is a fast paced role responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of recruitment events. These events include open days and applicant days. The role is also responsible for the planning, co-ordination and attendance at external recruitment events across the U.K. Significant travel will be expected of the post holder which will require overnight stays away from home. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships both internally and externally and having excellent communication skills is a key aspect of this role in order to plan and deliver high quality and effective events that will generate applications and promote the university to potential students and their influencers. Excellent organisational and event planning skills are highly desirable as this is the main aspect of the role.



SECTION B: PRINCIPAL DUTIES/KEY OBJECTIVES

1.

To plan and deliver a programme of on campus recruitment events to prospective students and applicants such as open days and applicant days in order to provide accurate information, advice and guidance to prospective students and their influencers and increase the number and diversity of applications and enrolments to the university.

2.

To develop and maintain effective internal relationships with academic and support staff across campuses in order to ensure that recruitment events are well planned, have relevant and appropriate content delivery and are well promoted.

3.

To plan and co-ordinate university presence at external recruitment events which include UCAS fairs and attend a proportion of these events.

4.

To plan and manage workload of the Student Recruitment Assistant ensuring that key objectives are set and reviewed on a regular basis.

5.

To work with academic departments to plan and deliver course specific recruitment events to support recruitment and generate applications to specific course areas.

6.

To support recruitment activity across the team to include delivery of school and college activity and W.P Access activity. This will involve presenting and delivery of workshops and attendance at careers fairs.
