Supply Management is the official media brand for CIPS (The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) This is a very unique and exciting team to be apart of at Haymarket forming part of The Professional Associations group. This group is rapidly growing and financially going from strength to strength set to exceed budget and year on year performance.

CIPS is the official governing body of the Procurement and Supply Chain industry boasting a community of over 200,000 globally.As their official media brand, Supply Management ecompasses the magazine, website, content solutions and our rapidly expanding live events portfolio. This  includes the CIPS UK & Australasia conferences, awards, and 3 new events including the launch of the Supply Management forum. As a commercial team we have a wealth of new and exciting opportunities to sell as well as organisations we can help!

As such we are looking at recruiting a more senior team member who can hit the ground running and maximise revenue opportunities to help us continue our journey of growth & success.


The role

As Account Manager you will have your own client base made up of industry sectors which you will be responsible for generating & growing revenues. Ultimately you will be a significant contributor to help Supply Management deliver on revenues & surpass budgets. This role is a real mix of growing existing clients through understanding their objectives and portfolio selling.

In addition new business is a must. You will constantly seek new business opportunities from competitors as well as clients outside of the traditional competitor landscape resulting in consistent new business wins across the portfolio.

Being able to sell a hybrid of solutions to your clients to match their objectives as well as increasing yields is essential. Understanding the challenges your clients face and using this to share insight with your client base to be seen as a trusted advisor and expert is key. Covering your market is essential and this will be through high volume contact with your client base and effective conversations through phone, social media & email. There will also be high expectations of face to face client meetings.

The candidate

You will be an experienced and proven Senior Sales executive looking for your next step up or an Account Manager currently looking for a new & exciting challenge. You will have this experience having worked in media sales previously or in a similar sales environment.

    Someone who consistently works hard and isn’t afraid to go after any opportunity and speak to clients at all levels

    Professional, tenacious and eager to succeed in terms of their own progression and success brand performance

    Is accountable and responsible for their client base, their contribution to the team as well as being aware of the overall performance of the brand against budgets and year on year

    Proven track record of consistently growing accounts and new business

    Professional & well presented

    Ability to articulate strategic conversations with high level decision makers both over the phone and face to face

    Display experience of print, digital, content solutions and especially events is advantageous & preferable
