Marketing Activation Manager to £45k

This role is the point of contact for the local commercial team and distributors in markets in terms of marketing and brand support.

With responsibility for delivery of all brand activation activities within the territory, you will act as the key link between the global marketing team (brand design and brand strategy) and the local distributor teams.

Building and maintaining strong relationships across stakeholders in multiple markets  is key to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the Middle East and Africa marketing plan
  • Drive Marketing Plan development with distributors
  • Manage the distributor marketing teams
  • Lead all cross-region marketing activation – including regional trade shows
  • Ensure the commercial teams are equipped with ‘best in class’ marketing & sales tools, such as sell-in decks, printed assets and samples
  • Support the commercial team with new product introductions, registrations, SKU set-up, etc. on portfolio projects / brands
  • Manages NPD project-based activities through the company-wide Stage Gate process
  • Analyses brand performance across the Middle East and Africa region
  • Manages and tracks brand A&P expenditure for the Middle East and Africa to optimize effectiveness of all trade activation & consumer facing spend

About you:

  • Solid experience in Brand Management and / or Customer Marketing and / or Marketing Activation within an FMCG and on-trade environment
  • Significant  knowledge of the out of home (bars and cafes) and / or grocery retail channels
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to plan and execute the delivery of marketing activities
  • Experience in identifying local needs and adapting global assets to meet them
  • Experience of managing agencies and writing creative briefs
  • Proven track record of influencing across functions
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships and partnerships
  • Knowledge of the industry wide Stage Gate process to deliver NPD (New Product Development)
  • Strong analytical skills and evidence/data-driven thinking
  • Knowledge of the Arab culture and / or language would be an advantage
  • Up-to-date with latest trends and best practices in the drinks industry
  • Ability to travel approximately 15-20% of time in role across the Middle East
