Head of Digital Marketing - we are excited to be working with a leading South Coast prestigious leisure business which owns and operates 5 luxury marinas and boatyards in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. It's all about lifestyle but to use digital campaigns, social media, film & video to draw in a younger generation of boating lovers who will want to chill out and spend time on the water and enjoy the lifestyle around it on weekends or holidays. This is about destination & lifestyle branding.
They are in a stage of strong investment and growth, backed by a reputable Private Equity house, and looking to hire a Head of Digital Marketing who will not only aid with their core marketing activity and promoting the brand, but will also oversee a future merge and rebrand. It will expand the range of services it offers and grow it’s appeal amongst younger, lifestyle-oriented millenials & Gen Z audiences. Business is expected to double in the next 3 years and include 11 marina developments in total.
You'll be a key member of the central management team. With strong skills and experience across multi-channel digital: developing and transforming the brand; leading the communication strategy of the brand and values to their customers and other stakeholders; managing and hosting events (especially through the summer months); and driving enquiries and revenue through the development of and targeted use of their digital platform. Digital marekting experience is a must, either from an agency or clientside.
Promotion to Director with equity shares would follow a strong personal performance and the ongoing growth of the business. The role requires the capability of maintaining board level influence and encouragement to drive the business through its next phase of growth, and developing strong relationships with the operational teams around the business. The aim is to sell the business in the next 5 years and you'd benefit financially from your shares.
The Head of Digital Marketing will lead the public relations strategy for the business, engaging not just with their customers, but also the wider trade and national media, local government and stakeholders, as well as the City investment community.
There's huge scope for your own personal development here, and being based on the South Coast, you'll also travel between the marina's, as well as into London. They are a collaborative team of about 60 people, sociable and very supportive. Being a sailor or just into boats would be an advantage, or maybe you just want to learn? But it's a role with a difference.
