Senior Strategy Partner

Our client is a widely admired, boutique management consultancy specialising in brand strategy, brand purpose and proposition. They help senior client teams to be clear about why they exist and for whom. They then help their clients take this clarity for being and translate it across their whole organization, so it can act as inspiration for both the customer and employee journey.

The Role must deliver to four core strands: 

Strand 1: Leadership and Growth 

  • As a Partner on the Leadership team, shaping and driving growth
  • Responsible for commercial success and for strategic endeavour 
  • Champion and evidence their values through behaviours 
  • Identify and build new products and offers, to enable growth 
  • Identify new collaborations with expert partners 

Strand 2: People Direction 

  • Lead and inspire the delivery of excellence through team members
  • Show genuine insight and empathy in developing the skills of their team. 
  • Recruit, induct, develop – assume responsibility for people management within direct team 

Strand 3: Strategy Leadership, pipeline and profile

  • Identify, scope and deliver engagements – from existing and new clients 
  • Provide leadership and oversight across all strategy outputs 
  •  Build, develop and nurture Board-level client relationships that transcend projects 
  • Identify and convert new clients and new programmes, to an agreed vertical sector prioritisation 
  • Lead pitches, write and direct proposal creation and fee negotiation 
  • Build programme of thought leadership – speaking, writing, judging 

Relevant experience: 

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in strategy – client or agency experience; research, identity, management consultancy, advertising, design, HR are all relevant disciplines 
  • Solid and demonstrable understanding of the value and role of brand as a business driver 
  • Proven experience of managing multi-faceted projects of significant scale to challenging deadlines 
  • Experience of directing a team to deliver exceptional results – intellectually, and commercially 
  • Experience of working in and/or with large, complex organisations and managing stakeholder relationships at a senior level 
  • Able to demonstrate consultancy commercial success with strong business development experience

  • Politics and consumer/citizen trends
