The role of Business Development Executive within the Haymarket Medical team is an important role with a vital impact on the revenue potential of the department.  Your role is to seek revenue from new accounts as well as grow revenue from existing clients as part of the sales team.

Your experience in growing revenue from clients will be key to the Medical division. Haymarket Medical is a provider of high quality, professional products/projects and live events that healthcare professionals want to engage with and pharmaceutical companies want to sponsor.

 

Specific Responsibilities

Account and Client Direction

  • Professionally represent Haymarket Medical internally and externally
  • Take complete responsibility for your accounts across the whole of the Haymarket Medical product range
  • Manage day to day running of your allocated accounts
  • Report to the Commercial Director and the Sales Director on sales pipelines and any ways we can grow clients revenue

 

Sales responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
  • Sell sponsorship in print, live and online format to achieve/exceed budget
  • Identify other sales opportunities eg advertising and share leads with relevant colleague(s)
  • Devise and implement a sales pipeline broken down by account and product which should be updated on an ongoing basis
  • Identify and prioritise sales opportunities for your accounts
  • Create engaging and appropriate client proposals and costings
  • Be accountable for contribution as well as revenue for all your sales
  • Grow business from existing accounts and develop business from new accounts/brand teams

Internal liaison

  • Outline client objectives to editorial and project management teams to create the best solutions for the client
  • Work with the editorial team to develop projects for specific clients
  • Work with Commercial Director and Sales Director to ensure sales and commercial function of your allocated accounts are within budget/forecast

  • Ideal, but not essential, knowledge of the healthcare sector
