Part-time Lecturer, Creative Advertising

South Kensington, London

Role Outline:

Boston University Study Abroad London is seeking a highly experienced individual with a strong advertising industry track record for an outstanding new instructor position in Creative Advertising.  Your role will be to design, develop and lead a new London-focused course, as part of our Internship Programme for US students on study-abroad here in London.

The design of the new course, to be developed in conjunction with Boston-based faculty, will begin immediately following appointment, with delivery of draft syllabus targeted for October.  The first course is expected to be offered in January and February 2020.

The course will focus on the strategic creative process in advertising including concept development, copywriting, visualization, and design. Assignments will require students to conceive solutions to client marketing challenges across a range of media. The course will teach the foundations for development of effective advertising: problem definition, strategic development, and conceptual idea generation through tangible executions.

Required Skills:

The successful applicant will be an exceptional practitioner, with significant track record as a senior creative.  Teaching experience is not relevant – only an aptitude, drawn from experience, for designing and conveying material to learners in an engaging and compelling manner.

Job Location:

We expect the successful candidate to be based in travelling distance of our South Kensington campus, or prepared to travel to London on a regular basis.

Salary:

A competitive fee to attract a distinguished candidate will be offered for the course development phase and per course taught.

Recruitment process:

Candidates will be asked to deliver a detailed presentation to demonstrate their ability to design and deliver the course to students in a highly engaging style.

Interviews are expected to take place from late July 2019.
