We are looking for a senior communications specialist to lead, design and take overall responsibility for the delivery of strategic multi-channel communications in a world leading Art and Technology organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing you have responsibility for developing new thinking, bringing a fresh perspective and championing best communications practice 

You will devise and deliver as part of the organisation's marketing programme, a recruitment marketing programme focused on attracting high quality students from around the world, supporting them through the student journey (application, offer, acceptance, registration) at a time of enormous change

A truly unique opportunity to be part of a team working to devise and deliver a new marketing and communication vision both internally and externally.

Skill set needed:

  • A senior level communications lead
  • Demonstrable understanding of changes in the university sector, the ways universities are approaching sector, pressures on student recruitment, changes
  • Strong analytical skills, with a specific remit regarding academic programmes and the student journey, but also with respect to effective, measurable communications
  • You will have a strong experience and skills of designing and delivering communications campaigns with business imperatives
  • Demonstrable understanding of the issues facing a transformative organisation
  • Experience of developing and delivering crisis communications and issues management programme
  • ‘Client service’ approach, possibly learned in agency environment, with ability to deliver on time and to budget
  • A self-starter, with strong people development skills
  • Experience of budget management and forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills, with respect to effective, measurable communications
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, in both traditional and social media
  • Team player ability to inspire and motive team to produce great work
  • A passion for communications
  • Ability to deliver strategic counsel to the Director of Communications and Marketing
