UX/UI Ecommerce Director
The E-Commerce Creative Director has broad oversight over creative design concepts, projects, and work flows. You'll direct multiple projects to completion, providing the management your team needs to consistently deliver strong work.
My client is a global eCommerce Agency, supporting B2B and B2C clients in exceeding their commerce goals on several ecommerce platforms. As a global business, they have delivered tailored eCommerce solutions to hundreds of brands over the past few years. They have good client retention and delivery satisfaction. They are growing quickly and are hiring to keep up with the client demand. Based in Central London.
The key responsibilites for the UX/UI Ecommerce Director will be to:
Direct designers and creative teams of various levels in the execution of creative concepts, including local and global campaigns, and be ultimately responsible for the delivery of the creative team's project work
Deliver pitches and presentations (often at a very senior level) as the creative ambassador and evangelist
Receive and interpret (sometimes undefined) creative and project briefs, problem solve and present ideas creatively and effectively
Manage and mentor the current internal team of designers with responsibility for their output and development
Define, develop and implement design methodology and creative strategic processes
Design and implement disciplined and consistent project work flows and timelines, holding individuals accountable to milestones and deliverables
Define and develop the UX strategy and suite of services
Staying up to date with industry trends and striving to innovate beyond these by engaging with the wider digital creative community.
The successful UX/UI Ecommerce Director will be a hands-on designer with:
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Attention to detail - own and enforce execution on brand quality and consistency across all our teams
Prepared to travel
Significant experience within an ecommerce agency in a UI/UX role
Solid understanding of and sensitivity to UX and UI design process.
Experience in managing design teams and commissioning design projects.
Accustomed to initiating and leading effective brainstorming sessions.
Good communication skills, including the ability to relate design concepts, negotiate internally and externally and advise and promote design policy.
On offer for the chosen UX/UI Ecommerce Director is up to £75k (depending on experience), 25 days annual leave and the opportunity to grow and progress your career.
