Art Editor, Classic & Sports Car

Working with the Group Art Editor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day design of Classic & Sports Car magazine, as well as being expected to contribute to the design of special project work within the group and our brands, both print and digital.
The Art Editor will need experience of working to the highest standards and tight deadlines, and be prepared to work as long as it takes to deliver outstanding products.
The role requires an organised mind and creative flair; the Art Editor does everything from laying out pages to style, to commissioning and arranging photoshoots, selecting pictures, running the art desk, keeping on top of the daily flow of page design and keeping the photographic team's diaries up to date.
Alongside the Editor in Chief, the successful candidate will be responsible for deciding and maintaining the future design direction and quality of one of the world’s best loved and most beautiful car magazines.
Desired skills and experience:
- A proven track record as an Art Editor at a consumer or trade title.
- Advanced InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, print-workflow systems (such as GoPublish).
- An interest in classic cars and the industry are not necessary, but would be a distinct advantage.
