Overview

The Roald Dahl Story Company (RDSC) manages the copyrights of the world’s number one storyteller: we exist to protect and grow the cultural value of Roald Dahl’s stories now and for future generations. We believe that the intrinsic message of Dahl’s stories is that the world can be tough but with a combination of imagination, determination and heart everyone, no matter how small, can find their own wonky happiness. Our aim is to spread Roald Dahl’s stories far and wide, sharing their message and thereby positively impacting all who interact with our works.

The slate of activity that RDSC works on ranges from new publishing, merchandise and digital products, to producing new plays, musicals and live entertainment, in addition to activating major new films and television series. RDSC also develops and implements a range of branded platforms such as the annual Roald Dahl Day and Roald Dahl’s Imaginormous Challenge. Brand Partnerships is an intrinsic part of the business, and an area of real growth. Reporting into the Partnerships Manager, the Partnerships Assistant will be responsible for proactively identifying new opportunities and alliances to fit in with our brand strategy, in order to drive revenue and brand growth through bringing the iconic stories and characters to new audiences in innovative ways.

This opportunity is ideal for a Junior Executive who holds experience in sales and/or marketing and is looking for a fantastic opportunity to build a career in entertainment and brand partnerships, with one of the most loved family brands. There is real scope to develop within this role as we embark on our growth plan.

Role and Responsibilities

The Partnerships Assistant will work closely with the Partnerships Manager to activate the partnerships strategy (both short and long-term objectives) in addition to managing and developing our existing raft of brand partners.

    • Fostering a collaborative environment between RDSC and its partners
    • Project management of live brand partnerships
    • Clear communication with our partners
    • Lead on securing contacts and initial meetings for prospect partners
