EdenMarsh Recruitment are searching for a Resourcer/Delivery Consultant/ Junior Recruiter to join the team! We are looking for someone to help us to find the very best candidates for roles with our Creative Sector clients. 

This is a “180 degree” role, that means that your focus will be on working with candidates and once you have more experience (if you’re willing!) your role will evolve into a "360 degree” role where you will begin developing brand new client relationships.

Who are we?

EdenMarsh are a Boutique Recruitment Agency that cater to the Creative Sector. We’ve been going for 6 years and were setup by our Directors after they had a long stint growing and managing another creative recruitment business in the UK and Internationally.

We’re a small agency (9 people in total) that believe in building great relationships with candidates and clients whilst having a down-to-earth, honest and good-natured approach to Recruitment - this extends to the way that Consultants are treated as well! We have a flexible and dress-down (no suits here!) environment where our Directors do their very best to work with you, to help you achieve your career goals.

We have a very low staff turnover, which we find to be very telling! Once you’re in – you won’t want to leave!

We recruit for some the best, most creative and most interesting Agencies and Brands on the planet! We help them to recruit for a wide variety of creative roles. We are split into two teams: One team focuses on the recruitment of hands-on Creative roles including, but not limited to: Graphic Designers, Digital Designers, Artworkers, Art Directors, Creative Directors, Copywriters and Strategists.

The other team focuses on Project Management, Production and Client Services roles which include: Project Managers, Creative Producers, Studio & Traffic Managers, Account Executives/Managers/Directors, Production Managers and Creative Services Managers/Directors. 

We are looking for someone to join our Project Management, Production and Client Services and/or our Creative Desk. There would be the opportunity to work across both permanent and freelance/temporary/contract job vacancies as well. 

Key responsibilities in the role are:

Searching for candidates by using our Internal Candidate Database, LinkedIn and relevant Job Boards.

Sorting through and responding to online job applications from potential candidates.

Setting up and taking reference calls on candidates.

Attending and contributing to client meetings (alongside more experienced Consultants who will lead the meeting and be there to support you).

Organising face-to-face meetings with our candidates to build relationships and to see which of our clients they may be a good fit for.

Putting relevant candidate information into our Internal Candidate Database.

Researching the market to find out where we can find the best and most suitable candidates for our roles.

Continually learning about the industry that we recruit for, so we can deliver the best results for our candidates and clients.

When you come in, we will partner you with a more experienced Consultant who will show you the ropes recruitment-wise! So, if you do have prior experience in Recruitment, that’d be great, but if you don’t that’s not a problem at all – we’ll teach you everything you need to know :) 

What kind of person are we looking for? (Where do we start!)

Recruitment isn’t the easiest job when you first start out, so you’ll need to be very resilient and able to take rejection from candidates who aren’t interested in your roles and from clients who aren’t interested in your candidates!

You’ll also need to be organised as you’ll be working on a number of roles, with a number of clients whilst managing/juggling a huge number of candidates as well. Our desks can get very busy (which is a good thing!) so there’s a lot going on and it’ll take good organisational skills to manage it all.

Emotional-intelligence and the ability to read people and situations is a massive part of the job in Recruitment. So, you’ll need some of this to start with, as well as the desire to develop this trait going forwards   

Despite the fact this is an entry-level role you’ll need a very high level of confidence to do it! As you’ll be speaking with senior candidates and clients regularly and you’ll need to be in a position to advise and consult with them. This will come with time, but there’ll need to be a commitment to developing your own abilities and the confidence that comes with this!

The ability to work at pace is definitely key – particularly when working on freelance/contract/temporary roles, as the market will move incredibly quickly and you’ll need to be able to find the right candidate for the job within a very short timeframe – often with an hour or so.

Focus and good time-management skills are really important as well. There is always a lot do! So, you’ll need to manage your time- effectively to allow you to focus on the activities that will deliver the best results for our clients and candidates.

Great listening skills – this is perhaps the number one skill in Recruitment. You’ll need to be able to listen intently to candidates, clients and the team here internally who want to give you advice to help you succeed. You’ll also need to be able to retain and recall all of that information - so taking notes definitely helps!  

As is probably clear from the above; your attitude and approach is more or less everything in Recruitment! In terms of your professional background, Recruitment, Sales or experience in any client-facing role can be very beneficial.

Coming from the industry that we recruit for is also very useful. So for example, you might currently be a Traffic Manager or Bookings Manager at a Creative Agency who would like to manage a variety of different clients in a Recruitment Agency or maybe you’re a Project Manager who wants a change…or perhaps like one or our Consultants - a Creative who wonders what it would be like to work in a more commercial and business-facing role.

The autonomy to build your own business (within an existing business) is generally only offered to people later on in their careers. You can get this quite quickly (with good performance) in Recruitment
