ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join a friendly, inspiring and collaborative environment within an automotive industry leader. You’ll be part of the Haymarket Automotive (HMA) Technology team, building compelling and creative experiences that strike a balance between our users needs and business requirements.

You'll be working collaboratively with our Product Managers, Stakeholders and Tech teams in a lean fashion to deliver value across all our core platforms. You'll be constantly: exposed to innovation, building new products and seeking ways to iteratively improve on our key metrics.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI designer working on responsive web applications.
  • Your portfolio demonstrates best in class and your ability to shape ideas into valuable features for users.
  • You can output quick iterations and hi-fidelity prototypes and still have the ability to work in a changing environment.
  • You understand lean principles and can demonstrate how to add early value to our stakeholders and users.  
  • You long to harness data more to validate your designs
  • You’re both a doer and a helper.

 

Experience & Skills

  • Experience working in each of the stages of design from discovery and research to design, test and measuring the impact of said solution/idea.
  • Experience of e-commerce would be valuable.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience or understanding of pattern design and atomic design systems.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, REACT, JavaScript would be an added bonus.
  • Worked with Product Managers, the business and technical teams to determine different approaches to support business solutions.
  • Strong experience in prototyping including experience with tools like Axure & InVision.
  • Excellent UI and visual skills including experience with tools like Sketch and Photoshop.
  • Good knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Good knowledge of research tools such as surveys and user testing.
