This writer needs to have evidence of segmented direct comms: emails, direct mail, web content, landing pages, downloadable white paper/thought leadership pieces, e books etc to engage business users/readers within a sales funnel, providing information about industry insights,  product benefits or sales. All the written work is tweaked, based on test and analysis of uptake and drop off. 

There aren't many of you but you seem to be called Conversion copywriters - so at the very least I think I need an experienced direct marketing specialist writer.

You would be joining a team of experienced agency and client-side marketers: specialists in putting in the structures and programmes that enable high-growth businesses to scale up. This is NOT a creative advertising or content writing role, we are looking for a multi-skilled hybrid, a writer AND data-driven individual. In short, as part of a growth agency, you will create copy that converts and sells and test and test and test it...

- Conducting copy audits and highlighting actionable messaging opportunities
- Synthesizing customer data into messaging hierarchies and recommendations
- Workshopping copy with the wider team and with clients
- Producing structural wireframes that demonstrate messaging flow and hierarchy
- Presenting copy-in-wires to the team
- Creating experiment methodologies and running data-driven experiments to identify top-performing communications
- Conducting research and creating surveys to find voice-of-customer data
- Editing copy for clarity, voice, specificity, credibility and style
- Taking part in client calls and meetings as required
- Lean heavily on the science of copywriting - including research, structures and formulas - while also bringing craft to your copy
- Roll up your sleeves and take a proactive approach to solving problems

We are looking for someone who:
- Has an entrepreneurial growth mindset and an insatiable thirst for professional development
-  Has a passion for producing copy that yields results - this will not be just a job for you
- Has at least 5 years experience in hands-on writing for emails, landing page and informational long copy that sells (not content creation)
- Never misses a deadline, has thick skin and a  'go-again' mentality. You'll be ready to let data findings kill your darlings and preconceived notions!
- Is tech savvy and adopt digital tools easily
- Has some previous experience with digital growth marketing, including CRO, ads, sales pages, email, social, mobile, UX and SEO
- Has knowledge of good information design, including messaging hierarchies, and experience in wireframing
- Can craft clear and reasonable arguments using rhetorical devices, persuasive techniques and an understanding of human decision-making and the rules of influence
- Works fast + well in small teams and autonomously
- Has a degree or diploma in English, Marketing, Psychology or Journalism
