Our client is a global investment company currently looking for a Senior Brand Design Manager to join their communications dept. You will be the sole designer at a senior level position with responsibility for developing and continuously improving the visual brand identity for the Group. You will support new businesses and focus on their brand needs as they launch and grow. Emphasis will be on project management, directing creative and technical designers, as well as managing vendors, to deliver a range of digital and print marketing assets including the group brand identity, websites, digital and print marketing collateral and branded merchandise.

You will have strong project management skills, have hands on-design skills and production across print and digital. A critical factor will be an ability to champion and sell the value of design to either the Group or the senior leaders of new companies joining the Group. Marketing experience would be beneficial, as well as familiarity of working in a fast-paced environment where decisions and actions need to be taken quickly.


Brand & Design Strategy

  • Develop design concepts that establish and advance the brand identity and create all required digital and print marketing assets
  • Transform business ideas and rough design concepts into compelling new brand identities across all market verticals
  • Write creative brand and design strategies for new start-ups joining the Group in line with their needs and within their budget


Project Management

  • Exhibits exceptional planning and organisational skills in project management
  • You will be a strong collaborator, able to identify the right creative/ technical contractors and vendors for each task and ensure all parties work together seamlessly to deliver projects in line with the clients' expectations, on time and on budget
  • Supervise members of the creative team, including those responsible for branding, marketing, design and advertising
  • Completes projects on time and on budget
  • Maintains consistency over the quality and message of the brand team's output


Digital Marketing

  • Experienced in website planning, design, development and management
  • Familiar with SEO and Google Analytics and is able to collect/interpret digital data to inform strategic direction of digital activities
  • Research competition, investigate benchmarks and provide suggestions on direction
  • Understands the importance of big data and analytics in digital marketing
  • Able to gather and use consumer data to inform strategic decisions around sales and company direction
  • Able to clearly and simply educate start-ups joining the Group on the vital role data plays in their marketing and brand strategies

Education and Experience

  • At least 10yrs' experience, with preferably over three yrs in a leadership role
  • Experience in a marketing or design agency
  • Experience in building / maintaining a website highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with SEO, Google Analytics and CRM software
  • Experienced in managing virtual teams of creative and technical contractors, with a strong network of contacts desirable
  • Design - proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Web Design - basic understanding of HTML desirable, as well as content management systems, such as WordPress
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and other presentation software
  • Degree in Fine Arts, graphic design, marketing, communications or visual design
