As Senior Marketing Executive you will be responsible for the planning and marketing promotional activity for subscriptions within the HBM marketing department covering Medical, Energy & Environment and Marcomms divisions.  Responsible for developing marketing plans, managing budgets and achieving revenue targets for subscriptions, the Senior Marketing Executive will report to the Senior Marketing Manager.

The primary focus of the Senior Marketing Executive is to work with the brand teams to produce innovative digital and direct marketing plans to drive subscription revenue.


As Senior Marketing Executive, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Development and implementation of digital and direct marketing plans to meet revenue and KPI targets
  • To create innovative social media and digital marketing initiatives to increase customer engagement and drive subscriber volumes
  • To fully utilise Haymarket’s on- and off-line media channels to best effect
  • To brief and work with external designers to create stand-out marketing collateral
  • Monitor marketing activity against agreed measures to ensure the effective marketing methods are being used across the group
  • Maintain marketing promotional budgets, ensuring that are spent as effectively as possible
  • To create and manage media partnerships with key associations, publications and trade bodies
  • Produce timely and accurate detailed response analysis reports as required by brand
  • To work with sponsors, associations and media partners to gain their buy in to promote our publications and events
  • To use web analytics tools to inform marketing plans and help streamline the effectiveness of our campaigns
  • Develop close working relationships with other commercial, editorial and senior event management team
  • To manage relationships with designers, printers, mailing houses, list brokers and other suppliers, and ensure they are invoiced and paid on time
  • Liaising with all Data Operations teams to ensure that the appropriate levels of data are collected and managed professionally, cost-effectively, legally, and in line with relevant formats and standards.
  • Ad hoc support of wider business initiatives/projects as they arise


Some of the things we’re looking for in a Senior Marketing Executive are:

  • Experience within subscription/conference marketing, ideally as part of a Publishing group
  • Good eye for creative and what works in a digital marketing environment
  • Knowledge of Google Adwords and Google Analytics
  • Data interrogation and response analysis experience
  • Experience of maintaining/managing promotional budgets
  • Excellent at meeting deadlines and targets
