If you have two years exhibition sales experience we have an exciting Sales position opening on the UK’s most important exhibition for emerging design and exhibition for design industry employers, buyers, trend predictors or people  just passionate about design and creativity.  This exhibition brings them face to face with over 3,000 of the UK’s most talented design graduates from the UK’ leading art and design courses. 

This exhibition which has been running for over 30 years has a successful and longstanding reputation for bringing emerging creative talent together with business and commerce. It takes place over two weeks and features a host of creative disciplines and two prestigious Awards Evenings it represents the future of design and creativity.

Job Purpose

• To plan and manage the delivery of stand sales campaign, achieving the targets set for quality, quantity and revenue from the exhibiting universities, industry stands.

• To meet the stand revenue targets set for the event through: understanding and adding insight to the show proposition understanding the exhibitor categories and their specific needs adding value to the marketing campaign and events programme ensuring a high level of market knowledge understanding the events  unique sales proposition

• Efficient database management, administration of contracts and research

• To ensure exhibitors receive a consistent, high level of customer care from contracting 


• Ultimately responsible for achieving the stand sales revenue target

• Creation and management of the sales campaign

• Network within the industry to represent the event, nurture existing relationships and gain new contacts

• Identify new exhibitors via research – web, magazines, competitor events

• Add new prospects to the filemaker database and accurately maintain existing records ensuring information is updated throughout the campaign

• Make sales calls to existing and potential new exhibitors

• Contribute to the creation of sales material and manage sales mailings

• Manage and keep sales figures up to date. Responsible for the weekly sales report figures to be submitted to management team.

• Effectively develop and manage customer relationships

• Responsible for the planning and delivery of all exhibitor communications

• To liaise directly with exhibitors to ensure they are aware of relevant marketing activity and that they maximise marketing opportunities

• Manage floor plan including layout in conjunction with the Fair Director

• Liaise with Venue Services team on stand plans, lighting and other stand extras

• To contribute to the development and delivery of event features (e.g. talks and discussions programme)

• Prepare and manage delivery of welcome packs to exhibitors

• Management of sales executive or interns if applicable

• Help source and collate marketing data (including exhibitor research) to inform post-show reports

• Producing the post-show sales report and plan focusing on the next 12 months

• Keep up to date with industry news – attending shows, networking etc.

• Strong IT skills (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook)

• Management and mentoring skills

• Presentation skills (PowerPoint and verbal)
