Junior Copywriter - Integrated Agency
NP686- £20k - £25k
5 years ago, this agency didn't have a copy department; now it's blooming, flourishing, thriving! The team of 3 Midweight Writers, and 2 Senior Writers, is headed up by a Creative Director, who came from a copy background, you're in safe hands.
They operate in the B2B space, and their client-base is primarily technology-focussed, meaning that briefs can be pushed to the max in order to market potentially dry products/services - there's immense room for creativity.
The requirement for cutting edge content, and writing of all forms, is increasing dramatically. At this agency their writing is so good, so good their clients want more and more of it! You'd be tasked with writing a variety of copy, and you'd get great exposure. There'd be social media copy and copy for landing pages to begin with, then the more experienced you become you'll be working on conceptual pieces that strategically meet a brief, scripts for videos and then longer form journalistic work with a research slant.
They're a very collaborative agency and you'd have the chance to work closely with art directors and designers alike; ideas can be shared, and you'll be listened to. The role would suit a recent Uni Grad with an English or Writing degree, someone who's looking to progress a career in writing. You may even have a year or two's experience in a writing role, but you're looking for something else to get your teeth stuck into.
Their offices are based in the Reading area, with great rail links. You'd get looked after well there, they offer free private healthcare, 25 days' holiday, frequent social days out, 2 days allocated a year for own personal 'inspiration days', allowing you to go to creative exhibitions, or just to even sit in the library for the day!!! There's parking at the office, and they're a 20-minute walk from a well-connected train station. Salary is between £18k and £24k, depending on experience.
