As part of this growth, it is seeking a Principal Medical Writer or ambitious Senior Medical Writer to strengthen its Scientific Services team.

The Senior Medical Writer / Principal Medical Writer role
The agency is looking for an experienced writer with a minimum of three years’ agency experience in a writing and editorial capacity.
If you do not have the requisite experience but know you can nail this, the agency would still love to meet you.
The role reports into the Head of Scientific Services and offers the flexibility of part work from home (two days per week) if that appeals.
The agency delivers creative campaigns and programmes ‘end to end’ with less of a focus on the marketing side of med comms. There is a huge variety of work including both internal and external comms and a sizeable number of films.
Your deliverables will include oral congress presentations, client internal communications, patient support materials, training manuals, websites, scripts, abstracts, posters, print items, multimedia and social media.
You need to demonstrate skills in producing a range of medical communication and education materials for diverse stakeholder audiences and an ability to interface with clients and healthcare professionals alike.
You relish the challenge of a new therapy area, the science behind the drug and the difference it can make to patients.
Your work will cover a variety of disease areas and specific therapy experience is not required.
• Deliver high-quality content for creative medical education
• Become the main scientific contact for the accounts you work on
• Co-lead the development of strategic communication plans
• Facilitate workshop sessions with clients
• Oversee quality of all the scientific deliverables on the accounts you oversee
• Develop, create and revise editorial and QC processes and procedures
• Act as the scientific lead at pitch presentations
Experience and competencies required
• Life science degree
• Highest quality scientific writing
• Client-focused attitude
• Strong presentation, interpersonal and communications skills
• Excellent attention to detail, with good grammar and syntax skills
• Exquisite organisational skills
Salary and benefits
The basic salary is cap-free, extremely competitive and will take into account your level of experience. A quarterly discretionary bonus reflects both the agency’s performance and your own.
