Job Description

We’re looking for a confident, articulate editor to join us as we embark on an exciting journey with a major automotive group. The role would suit someone with at least three years of digital content experience, ideally gained on a busy news website or in business communications, who also has an interest in cars and digital development.

About the role

Wonderly is Haymarket Media Group’s agency division, producing world-class content for global brands. Building on our award-winning work for Volkswagen Group, Kia and Motability, we’re now helping another household name revolutionise the way it communicates with its national network of car and van retailers.

In this new role, the editor will be responsible for creating, editing and publishing high-quality news, business updates and in-depth reference articles. You’ll be working in a fast-moving corporate environment and expected to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks, collaborating day-to-day with the group’s in-house comms team.

The content will almost always have an automotive angle, but this isn’t What Car? or Autocar: the role exists to share business-critical information with people working in dealerships across the UK, helping them to deliver an outstanding customer experience and grow the group’s brands. It’s an exciting time for the industry, too: with the EV revolution in full swing and autonomous tech not far round the corner, the editor will be at the front line of informing, educating and inspiring salespeople, technicians and business owners.

If that sounds exciting but daunting, don’t worry: you’ll be joining Wonderly’s team of experienced editors, designers and digital experts, and provided with training and mentoring to ensure you make the best start in this brilliant role
