2020 has been a slow year for most - extended periods of furlough, long queues for Tesco and an almost complete shutdown of the events industry.

How about starting 2021 in a new job where you will be busy from day 1? This technology supplier to the events industry will be undergoing a rebrand in the New Year and require a Marketing Manager to oversee the process, as well as the longer-term marketing strategy of the business.

The company is based in Slough and is easily commutable from West London, as well as Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey. With current Covid restrictions, they are working remotely where possible, with plans to re-open the office as restrictions ease. Long-term, remote-working will be possible here and there, but you will be required to travel into the office as and when required. As the business would like this person to be fully-immersed in the events they help to produce, you will need to be comfortable with travelling abroad.

Your first task will be to collaborate with designers, the company management and an external creative agency to launch the rebrand. Longer term, you will be expected to produce engaging social media content, as well as captivating copy for proposals and pitches. You will also be responsible for entering the company into industry relevant awards.

The ideal candidate for this role would be a Marketing Executive/Manager with a background and interest in events and/or technology. It is worth noting, as this is the first role within the company dedicated solely to marketing, you will need to be comfortable working in what will be a dynamic and fast-paced role, where you will be required to perform various marketing functions.

- Fantastic copywriting skills - examples of this would be handy!

- A good track record of social media engagement (LinkedIn, Instagram, Hootsuite etc.)

- Experience of entering in to and applying for industry relevant awards

- Photography interest/ability would be a bonus!

- You will be required to learn and use both Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
