What is a Digital Architect?...
Digital - in this case, relating to digital event platforms, which will be used as a solution for virtual and hybrid events. In addition, digital integration into live/physical/face-to-face events.
Architect - relating to a person responsible for the design of something, as well as supervising the build.
= A Digital Architect. In a nutshell, this person will be responsible for overseeing the design, strategy and build of this creative agency's digital event platform. It's important to note, you will be able to utilise additional freelance resource to achieve this - developers, programmers, designers etc.
The company is positioned as a brand experience agency. Their offering includes; live events, tradeshow exhibitions and branding - anything that might fall under the umbrella of an 'experience'.
While live events are so constrained by the impact of Covid, the agency have been working on building a digital event platform, which is being offered to existing and prospective clients alike.
The existing team is made up of; creative, production, project management, client services and new business/sales. While existing projects are constrained to being delivered virtually or online, in normal circumstances they operate across the globe and have offices in both Asia & the US.
WHAT IS REQUIRED
- Digital know-how/expertise - there will be a lot of scope for the person in this role to influence and guide the overall digital strategy of the business. Ideally, you will have worked on strategy for digital event platforms, previously.
- A good roster of relevant freelance contacts that you will be able to utilise in this role - developers, programmers, digital project managers etc.
- Client-facing experience - you'll be getting involved with pitching to clients and liaising with them throughout projects, so you need to be a strong & personable communicator
The UK HQ is based in Worcestershire, and has recently undergone expansion, as the company has grown. With the current lockdown in place, everyone is working fully remotely. The plan in the medium-long term, once the lockdown is lifted and it is safe to do so, will be to move staff back into the office. For that reason, this person will need to be Midlands based, or be serious about relocating to the area.
In return, you will receive a salary in the range of £30-40,000 - although there could be some flex on this. In addition, a car allowance, private medical care and a discretionary annual bonus are on offer.
