Freelance Data Editor- The Role
This fashion publication is seeking an exceptional, globally minded Data Editor to source and analyse complex data and turn it into compelling research reports for a professional fashion and luxury business audience. This is a research and reporting role, with data being a huge part of what sets this publication apart from others. You will be passionate about data and journalism, with a business mind and a desire to tell stories and report through visual means.
Freelance Data Editor- Responsibilities
- Demonstrate significant writing and editorial experience, preferably in a reporting role
- Confident working to tight deadlines in a fast-moving digital newsroom
- Ability to write investigative longer-format articles
- Curious about the business of fashion from small labels to big luxury conglomerates and the broader issues around technology, marketing, retail and sustainability
- Passionate about the possibilities of data-led reporting and visual storytelling and charts
- Have a global viewpoint - insight and networks beyond the UK fashion industry is requiredFreelance Data Editor- Requirements
- Working knowledge of the fashion and luxury industry
- Knowledge of consumer-led research
- An ideas generator, eager to uncover original stories and angles from data and news
- Significant experience in data-led reporting, either in media or analyst roles
- Experience in writing research reports
- An understanding of the principles of chart design and interest in visual storytelling
- Passion for accuracy and understanding of ethics around data gathering and analysis
- Ability to deliver excellently written copy within tight deadlines
- A collaborative working style
