Who You'll Be Working With

My client is a brilliant studio of 17 content creators, developers and creatives with a great range of SME clients and recognisable brands in their portfolio. They deliver a great range of social and digital campaigns along with CMS platforms and integrated campaigns work. Interestingly, they were actually fully remote before the pandemic came along so took to it like a duck to water, though they are planning on getting a collaborative studio / office space towards the end of the year. Due to the agency growing (even last year) they are now looking to hire a studio manager into a brand new position for the business.

What You'll Be Doing

The role can be broken down into three key areas. Firstly, you'll be responsible for directly supporting the creative teams from a resource and traffic management perspective. Second, you'll be involved in the general business operations. Things like onboarding new starters, setting up new workflow process, picking out new tools for the team. Thirdly, you'll be doing some of the office management style work. They don't have a physical space so you won't be ordering in the biscuits but you will be hands on with finances, raising POs etc. Additionally, you'll be involved in bringing freelance support on board, either via your own black book or via recruiters like me.

We're looking for somebody who is happy jumping head first into a busy environment. As mentioned, this is the first time the agency has hired a studio manager / creative services manager so you'll be involved in actually establishing the scope of the role! Experience in a fast-paced creative agency environment is a must - ideally in a creative services focused role with ownership of looking after a diverse range of creatives and designers. Knowledge of the digital marketing space and working with developers is a nice to have but not an absolute must.

All the usual personality traits apply with this one, we are looking for somebody willing to muck in and get involved with the whole business. A "this isn't in my job description" approach won't really work on this one!
