Creative Copywriter - Healthcare Communications Agency

Our client is looking for an experienced writer with creative flair and a scientific or medical background that allows them to create compelling Healthcare Communications that have real impetus with their audience. The role requires the successful candidate to write strategically using their health / pharma knowledge and experience in how best to communicate with a variety of people in different tones of voice. You will need to have a real care for the detail in your copy and the ability to think creatively across a huge variety of briefs in this rewarding role.
The role requires a Creative Copywriter with healthcare/ pharma agency experience for integrated campaigns and writing strategically led communications for a variety of media. You will be working on full service healthcare communications to a variety audiences including consumers, patients, HCP’s, pharma companies themselves along with physicians, nurses, etc.
The role will see you working independently on some projects but also part of a wider creative team to generate creative ideas and concepts for projects and campaigns across a broad range of work including training material, sales aids, patient literature / education, digital applications, scripts etc. You will work closely with account teams to drive campaigns forward and will be responsible for writing and editing exceptional copy using your knowledge and experience to ensure work is on brief, scientifically substantiated and is as clear and engaging as possible. You will also be up to date on legislation and regulatory process.
The Creative Copywriter will also work with more junior writers on the team and therefore lead by example with the quality of your work and proactive attitude towards the job.
This role will require the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a similar role working in a healthcare advertising / communications agency
- Ability to take complicated medical / scientific information and write clear and compelling copy
- Creatively minded to add real value to work
- Strong scientific/ medical background coupled with in-depth knowledge of the pharma / health comms industry
- Excellent communication skills and ability to passionately present work
- Keen eye for detail
- Team player
