Are you a creative, driven and collaborative individual with a proven track record of developing and delivering successful communications strategies? Are you looking for an exciting and highly rewarding new career opportunity?
If so, Nesta is looking for a Campaigns Manager to plan, develop and deliver communications in support of our three innovation missions.
About Nesta
We are Nesta. The UK’s innovation agency for social good. We confront challenges that affect millions of people, from inequality and ill-health to the climate crisis.
We believe that innovation offers more potential now than ever before. We see opportunities to mobilise citizens and influence behaviour. Private and public capital that can be used more creatively. A wealth of data to mine. And so we draw on these rich resources by bringing together diverse teams. Data scientists, designers and behavioural scientists. Practitioners, academics, entrepreneurs and people with lived experience.
Together, we design, test and scale new solutions to society’s biggest problems. We partner with frontline organisations, build new businesses and work to change whole systems. Harnessing the rigour of science and the creativity of design, we work relentlessly to put new ideas to the test.
About this exciting opportunity
This key role will see you focus on leading the development of strategic communications plans to support Nesta’s missions, drawing on the full communications mix and by delivering the full range of communications tactics. This will include using media, PR, marketing, public affairs, events, stakeholder relations and content creation, working collaboratively with Nesta colleagues. You will also be expected to:
- Act as a source of strategic and tactical communications advice to mission colleagues, embedding communications thinking at the heart of project planning and delivery
- Support mission teams with stakeholder management and public affairs activities, mapping target stakeholders, tracking and planning engagement strategies
- Work with colleagues across multiple teams to ensure coherence and coordination across both missions and the wider organisation
- Oversee impact measurement, reporting and evaluation
What we are looking for
In addition to your proven experience of driving successful communications campaigns, you will be an exceptional and experienced communicator, who can think quickly, digest large amounts of information and consult and advise effectively on options and tactics. You will have outstanding written and verbal communications skills, with a track record of writing and edit content for a range of audiences, while also being a creative thinker, able to develop and manage innovative, effective and integrated campaigns.
Experience of communications delivery in sectors relevant to at least one of Nesta’s mission areas would be a significant advantage, as are strong interpersonal, relationship-building and prioritisation skills and a flexible, collaborative and proactive approach to your work.

Location: This role is based in Blackfriars, Central London, but we offer flexibility for our people to work remotely
