This charity is looking for someone to be their professional lead on visitor marketing. You’ll lead the development of their national visitor marketing strategy and be a source of information and inspiration for the whole organisation.

Our client is a wildlife conservation charity and one of the UK’s leading visitor attraction brands. They operate 10 nature sites across the UK, including household names such as Slimbridge, Martin Mere, and the London Wetland Centre.

The role of National Visitor Marketing Manager is central to retaining and growing their visiting audience of 1m, and helping those people take their first steps towards a deeper love of nature.

You’ll work closely with the wetland sites to develop strong propositions for each, building on their individual characters and strengths. And you’ll work seamlessly with your colleagues in the Brand & Content team to develop and deliver a visitor marketing strategy in line with the brand, and which engages people with the charity’s cause from the first moment they encounter them.

A day out at one of this charity's wetland centres is to be enjoyed, but the organisation does far more than provide a pleasant day out. They do conservation in communities around the UK and in hotspots around the world. Their cause is wetlands, and the power that lies where land and water meet – the power to store carbon, clean water, hold back flood and, most importantly, bring life. Their wetland centres are the jewels in their crown. We may live in an increasingly digital world but this organisation never underestimates the power of experience, where they can immerse visitors in nature, and also with their work and the cause, by engaging all their senses.

You’ll be a self-starter with your finger on the pulse of the visitor attraction market. And they need someone with plenty of energy – you’ll want to build your network across the sites and central teams quickly.
