Membership Marketing Executive – Retention
Main locations RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey, plus home working and Head office in London

We are looking for an experienced, pro-active, enthusiastic and organised Marketing Executive to join this busy membership marketing team. The role is to work on e-newsletters, email marketing and direct mail campaigns to drive member engagement through our beautiful Gardens, magnificent Shows and other member benefits, and the charitable work of the RHS.

The post sits within the Membership Marketing team and has responsibility for the planning and delivery of membership retention campaigns to maximise retention amongst our 520,000 members. The post reports in to the Membership Marketing Manager.

Key responsibilities of the Membership Marketing Executive role

The Marketing Executive will be responsible planning and delivering direct marketing and e-marketing campaigns to increase member engagement and support retention targets

  • Curating the fortnightly member e-newsletter
  • Working with Membership Marketing Manager to plan and implement email and direct marketing campaigns including creative brief, data brief, production and deployment
  • Working with creative agencies on development of new campaigns
  • Supporting the Membership Marketing Manager developing customer journeys
  • Managing the offers programme
  • Monitoring and analysing results of campaigns

About you

We are looking for someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a Marketing Executive role or equivalent where you have been responsible for delivering email and direct marketing campaigns. Ideally you will have the following skills:

  • Experience of creating email marketing communications
  • Experience of sourcing content for emails and marketing communications
  • Experience of direct marketing
  • Good copywriting skills
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage workload
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
