Smarts is an integrated PR & Content agency with nearly 100 people in London, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow and, most recently, New York. Our clients include Johnnie Walker, Ciroc, Zalando, Carlsberg, Bosch, Siemens, MSC Cruises to name a few. Over the years we have grown from a traditional PR agency into one with expertise not only in media relations but also influencer partnerships, social, digital, content creation and more.   

Smarts London team

Smarts’ London office is just over five years old with a team who are full of energy and experience. We work very closely with our Belfast office as part of an integrated team. 

We are also part of a wider group, MSQ Partners and share an office with over 200+ other marketeers within MSQ. This gives us access to loads of different creative and strategic minds and a real sense of community.

This role 

This role is to be based in our London office, but with the flexibility to work remotely 2 - 3 days a week. When the world gets back to normal, we will be working, alongside our team mates in MSQ in our shiny new office in Covent Garden on Bow St overlooking the Opera House. 

We’re looking for all-rounder account / comms manager with blue chip experience, a can-do attitude and fire in their belly. The right balance of organised and creative, need to enjoy getting on the phone to media and truly love the industry. 

Specifically, they will be working on clients such as Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Food Standards Agency, MSC Cruises. The remit for these clients is varied – they will be working with the team on content creation, managing influencer campaigns and partnerships, media strategies, selling in, working on creative activations.

Skill set

We are looking for cultural fit – someone who has a can-do attitude and is curious and committed. We are a close team who really put our heart and soul into the business.

In terms of skill sets, the following are the most important:

  • Organisational skills  - good project manager 
  • Confident and comfortable with clients  - giving counsel
  • Experience in managing influencer partnerships  
  • Creative 360 ideas (not just old school PR) – eye for a story and a love of selling in
  • Good knowledge of the UK media landscape with good news media contacts
  • Ability to write slides for a deck 
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to independently run projects (on smaller accounts) as well as be part of a larger team (on bigger accounts)
