We have been briefed to find an Account Director who has real get up and go, someone who wants to help shape a business and how they run and operate, and maybe you'll one day become head of AM to lead this team.
The business is a content and production team, around 20 people in total, everyone works remotely and they work with some brilliant clients. A talented team of creators, strategy, project managers and producers, and leaders, but they're missing a client service function. At the moment everyone mucks in, and leads, but as they're growing at pace, and more clients are coming in, they want to start building a client services and account management function. We therefore need to make their first hire, and bring in an Account Director!
We want an Account Director who is process driven, strategically minded, and you'll be brilliant with clients.
The Account Director needs to have a view point, you need to be driven, and a natural leader. This is a real chance for an Account Director who is maybe working at another agency, you want to stamp your experience on a business, and work with leaders to create a fully functioning account handling team. It's a dream role for the right Account Director who has a lot of ambition and they want to make their mark.
The Account Director will report into the CEO, so you'll have a lot of head room to grow. You'll work with the wider business to build the account handling function, and you'll be the main point of contact for clients.
This is a hands-on Account Director role, which will suit someone who can bring the robust skills of account management and best practice to the agency. The Account Director will be responsible for setting up the account handling function working with our producers, creatives and management team. Account handling of our key accounts as well as mentoring and developing aspiring account handlers as they agency grows. Honestly, this is such a brilliant opportunity for an Account Director who wants to really help shape the future of this business. You’ll be a business-minded Account Director, bullet-proof when it comes to marketing strategy, naturally creative, brilliant with people and developing great relationships with clients, an excellent communicator, obsessed with good grammar, super organised and a star when it comes to the financial side of our accounts. The Account Director should be a natural leader.
The agency make a lot of content for their clients, they used to be a production agency but they've now moved into the content space. They have a huge list of clients, and the Account Director will sit at the top with the CEO to lead.
You’ll be happy to roll your sleeves up and work independently from top to bottom, never too precious to do the basics - one minute writing status reports, doing project plans, checking copy or chasing suppliers, the next shaping and presenting proposals and presentations or brainstorming with the CEO and Strategy Director. There's a great team dynamic at this business, and everyone mucks in, the Account Director will work closely with everyone in the business. It's such an integral and rewarding role.
You’ll be the glue across the agency, ensuring clients’ projects are delivered to brief, on time and on budget. We are looking for an Account Director who is calm, a safe pair of hands and someone who loves what they do.
