Our client on this one are an agency specialising in the world of digital with a focus on social, performance and content marketing as well as delivering ecom platforms, mobile apps and SaaS. They've got an amazing portfolio of clients spanning consumer products, fintech, FMCG, travel and tech. They also have a strong commitment to training and developing their people, giving access to a range of industry courses and a dedicated book budget!
Thanks to ongoing growth, they are now looking to add a senior creative strategist to the team who will work closely with their clients, the digital team (which includes your classic digital media planners), and a suite of creatives. You'll also be looking after a couple of junior strategists!
What You'll Be Doing
Your day to day will be that of a classic ad agency strategist - you'll be understanding your client's problems, researching a range of audiences at your desk (as well as with research agencies and using ongoing campaign performance data), and then coming up with creative concepts and strategies which the creative team can use as a launch pad to deliver brilliant work! You'll also be mentoring and managing a few junior strategists on a day to day basis, so having an interest in people management along with doing the work will be pretty important for this one. You'll also be responsible for:
- Checking over creative work to make sure it's consistent with the strategy and on brand for the client.
- Work with the digital strategy and data teams to get an idea on which ads are working and which creative routes are driving the most success.
- Developing buyer personas and segmenting audiences.
- Work with the rest of the team across the business to help the agency get better at what it does.
- Jumping in to client calls to help them understand the problems they are facing and how you can solve them!
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a creative thinker with an eye for design and copy, who knows how to persuade a client of a solid strategy and who knows the digital ecosystem inside out. This is across everything from paid media, landing pages, emails, long form content and more!
Being a good presenter will go a long way with this one, and the obligatory powerpoint / google slides skills need to be a part of the mix. If you have worked as a copywriter or designer before that'd be nice, but being a planner your whole life is also absolutely fine!
Prior experience of managing a team would be great, but even if you've only mentored juniors before or looking after a team of 1 that's definitely relevant, so long as you have a desire to do more of this.
