Mandarin Oriental Hotels

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group International Limited (MOHG) is a Hong Kong hotel investment and management group focusing on luxury hotels, resorts, and residences, with a total of 33 properties worldwide. A long-standing client, we work with MOHG across all markets globally, managing their online and offline media planning and buying. Digital channels are a key focus for their brand and performance activities. With the world emerging from the Covid-19 crisis and consumer behaviour adjusting to the new normal, we anticipate an exciting year in our quest to reach and engage the luxury travel audience.

Avast

Avast are a US-based anti-virus software technology, and rapidly expanding into the UK. With a tech-focused client like Avast you will be able to build experience in the most up to date and future-facing digital marketing platforms and solutions available. There will be a strong focus on programmatic strategy for performance media but all large brand budgets which will need creativity and innovation from the agency. Avast are a "power of one" client so you'll also be able to work collaboratively with the creative agency. The year ahead for Avast will be a huge learning curve with lots of opportunities to get involved in some award-worthy work from day one.

Hammerson

A recent client win, Hammerson own and operate high-quality, flagship destinations and premium outlets in key cities across the UK and Europe. Spark’s scope will include online and offline media planning, buying and strategy for the UK market with digital playing a key role in raising awareness, visits to centre sites, awareness of events and app downloads.

Simply Cook

SimplyCook wants to get Britain cooking. SimplyCook boxes contain 4 easy to follow recipes and 4 ingredient kits. Each kit is designed to provide perfect taste containing ingredient blends devised by professional chefs.

The company has seen fantastic growth over the last year and was recently bought by Nestle which will help to supercharge their growth further. With an ambitious three-year plan we work closely with the client team to help them expand their channel mix from TV and digital performance to further digital and above the line channels. They are also venturing into the sponsorship space most recently with a collaboration with Come Dine With Me.

Job Description

A dynamic digital leader, the Investment Director will have full responsibility for your team of 12 digital experts and their output. This role is split across several high-profile accounts and would benefit an ambitious individual who has the vision and skills to move the brands digital campaigns and measurement forward by adding innovation, regular test and learn and ensuring brilliant basics.  

You will be expected to develop media strategies and plans working closely with other investment channels (AV/Publishing & Audio) and with the comms planning team to deliver integrated, innovative and commercially successful plans for our clients.

The successful candidate will be keen to get involved in new business and play a key role in defining and delivering a convincing digital strategy to the client.

The Investment Director will play a leading role in the investment department, participate in knowledge sharing and training and work closely with the leadership team at Spark. The role has a commercial focus which includes owning the monthly forecasting for Spark clients and working with PMX central functions on market updates as well as feeding into trading agreements.

Because the role is full of challenges, no two days will be the same, you will need to make an immediate impact and enjoy adapting and being flexible. We are looking for an accomplished Group Account Director or similar level in a media agency ready to step up into a leadership role.

You will be expected to demonstrate your confidence and understanding of working with high profile brands and have a track record of hitting commercial targets.

Qualifications

Accountability Hold yourself and others to a very high standard of professionalism and product. Experience in working with digitally savvy clients and knowledge on how to ensure brand safety and impact.

Expertise A proven track record of working with a diverse range of clients (DR and brand campaigns ideally for FMCG, travel and/or charity clients) and a passion to use the latest technologies to deliver against set KPIs.

Collaboration People management skills and a positive attitude are essential here at SPARK FOUNDRY.

Communication You need to have great communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills – our clients like to be challenged, but with diplomacy. To be highly regarded by media owners and colleagues and to have developed close relationships with them.

Creativity/Innovation Exploring new opportunities in market; identifying synergies between different platforms and opportunities that arise (all media becoming more digital – OOH, AV, P&A). A keen interest in the latest developments in advertising technology

Devil is in the detail Organisational skills to manage team workload effectively, ensure timely output and high quality of all work shared with internal teams (planning and strategy) or with clients.

Discovery Have strong knowledge and understanding of campaign performance measurement and be able to demonstrate how to optimise towards different KPIs depending on client objectives with a desire to consistently deliver strong results through testing and ongoing optimisation.

Leadership Reporting to the Head of department and supported by a combination of Account Director, Account Manager, Senior Account Executives and Account Executives on each account.

Nurture Provide motivation and education to help your direct report achieve their full potential and provoke their professional growth.

Proactive Be aware of the commercial requirements of the agency and client requirements from a deal and value perspective. Always thrive to maximise value for your clients.
