Agency Development Director
Haymarkets Motoring team operates within “teams”, defined by the different agencies in the market. The structure consists of an Agency Development Director, an Account Director and Account Manager. As part of the Haymarket Motoring team, the Development Directors role is pivotal to driving our commercial success, accelerating best commercial practice and ensuring our clients receive best in class customer support.
As the Agency Development Account Director your primary objectives are to :
Maximise sustainable revenue generation from your assigned accounts.
Working closely with business leaders you will lead the formation of short, mid and long term sales strategies for your client patch ensuring we achieve best possible results
As part of this role you will have management responsibility and will be expected to set the strategic direction for all those working on your assigned accounts,
Supporting the wider team and internal stakeholders to deliver on defined objectives
As the Agency Development Director you are responsible for the management of some of Haymarket Automotives most important accounts,operating independently at a senior level within your agencies, while facilitating access to key clients dependent on business needs. Using your relationship building skills you will develop successful strategic alliances, gaining a deep insight and understanding of client needs.Your collaborative approach will help identify shared objectives and align outcomes, positioning Haymarket as the ultimate solutions based partner.

Your clients will be in no doubt that Haymarket offers a suite of services to help their businesses grow, your role is to build and develop those services, expand market reach, innovate solutions and improve customer experiences and ultimately help your clients fulfill their business objectives
Maximise revenue for the Motoring Portfolio, both in press and online, from your assigned agencies.
Act as the primary contact for all Haymarket titles for the motoring clients within your agencies to maximise revenue within this vertical.
Deep agency relationships at senior levels, to ensure your clients are up to date on all Haymarket projects and help inform new initiatives.
Understand and use sales tools (to include but not restricted to; TGI; GA; Visual DNA; Lotame;Campaign Reports;) and industry knowledge, to build out strong sales stories.
Work with the Trading Director on agency trading agreements, negotiating the best outcome inline with Haymarket’s goals.
Support, develop and lead your team to deliver long term commercial growth and best in class customer support.
- Ability to operate independently when setting client contact and sales strategies.
- Can confidently operate at all levels of your agency patch.
- Able to secure key meetings at short notice based on business needs.
- Ensures best in class service levels for their assigned agencies.
- Deliver a clear understanding of their agency position to the wider business.
- Generate best in class sales collateral.
- Offer assistance to the wider team/s to help deliver on Haymarket business objectives.
- Confidently collaborated with other departments based on client/products needs.
- Deliver YoY revenue growth.
