Paid Media Strategist

Central London SE1

£44,388 per annum

We are looking for a Paid Media Strategist to join the Mayor of London’s Digital Communications team.

You will join a busy, dynamic team managing the Mayor of London social media and email channels. You’ll work directly on developing external campaigns, focusing on topics like London’s recovery from COVID, the climate emergency, improving air quality across our city, and the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

You’ll be at the heart of our efforts to engage Londoners in what we do, managing paid campaigns that make a real difference in the world. You will be responsible for executing data-led, innovative and effective paid media campaigns to reach the right audiences with the right messages. You’ll work across high profile priority campaigns and advise on targeted approaches across different policy areas, collaborating with different teams across the organisation. You will also feed in to the team’s core work of managing the day-to-day digital newsroom.

You will have excellent copywriting and visual storytelling skills as well as significant experience of using social media and digital advertising, preferably with some experience of overall paid social management within an organisation or agency. You will be familiar with budget management, audience identification, data analysis, user experience and accessibility in the context of effective digital communications.

You will understand what it means to work for a socially and politically sensitive organisation, and have experience of working under pressure and in a changeable environment. But above all else, you will be excited by using your skills to run campaigns that improve people’s lives and help London bounce back from this pandemic.
