Marketing Director

This is a dream role for any Marketing Director who has a real passion for coffee! We have picked up a fantastic brief to work with this business that has been established for close to a decade, and they're now going through their next phase of growth! 

With retail shops dotted around London, a strong e-commerce platform that sells their product, and huge growth ambitions over the next 3 - 5 years, this is a perfect to for any Marketing Director to join this team and really make an impact. 

The Marketing Director will work closely with the senior management team and founders, and you'll be instrumental in leading the company's marketing strategy. The Marketing Director will work closely with the creative director to help shape the marketing strategy for the business, and plan the future marketing activity, working closely with the marketing team and external agencies. 

We need an experienced Marketing Director to join and lead the Marketing team and define and execute a transformational innovative marketing strategy. The team are planning to open at least 10 more stores in the next 18 months, they have an expanding digital proposition and ecosystem, and ambitions to define a world-leading digital experience, this role is the perfect opportunity for a well rounded 360 Marketing Director who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

The Marketing Director will lead an initial team of three - Digital & eCommerce Manager, Brand Manager and Community Manager - and will also be part of the senior leadership team. The Marketing Director will be expected to be an inspiring and directive team leader, while also playing a key role in defining the overall future of the brand and supporting with the necessary fundraising to make this vision a reality.

The ideal candidate would have experience in the ‘accessible luxury’ market, with a strong understanding of specialty coffee and the food & beverage market, as well as direct to consumer eCommerce sales. This is not essential, if you have an interest in coffee that's great, but you need to smart enough to learn and really want to be a leader in this space. 

The Marketing Director should have proven experience in defining and growing a brand, and have a keen creative eye, with a desire to create best-in-class marketing comms that attract disproportionate attention.

The Marketing Director will act as the brand’s ambassador, engaging in the broader specialty food & beverage and luxury DTC market, ensuring the brand is seen as a thought leader in each of these communities. We need a Marketing Director who is full of ideas, brave and genuinely has their finger on the pulse of what's cool, what's currents and what today's consumer looks for, and how they engage with brands. 

We need a Marketing Director with 8+ years of experience; ideally at least 2 years client-side within both food & beverage/hospitality and an ‘accessible luxury’ brand. You will be a holistic Marketing Director who can demonstrate an innovative, story-led approach that delivers commercial results, we are not looking for a typical textbook strategy.

The Marketing Director will have proven team management experience, both internal and external (specifically PR). You'll be a Marketing Director with strong analytical knowledge, with proven experience in tracking the ROI of marketing. You will have an excellent understanding of all media channels both on and online.

We need a Marketing Director who is calm under pressure with strong project management skills and ability to maintain order despite many competing priorities and needs.

You'll leave by example, and be a marketing director who gets stuck in. You'll have the desire and ability to roll sleeves up and get involved in the making – decks, ideas, etc. Integrated ideas is key here, being full of ideas and making them happen is what this business needs, we need a Marketing Director with extensive experience managing integrated campaigns.

You'll be a Marketing Director who is extremely tech-savvy, someone who understands digital and tech, and how consumers engage with brands.
