Job Description

As Senior Planner, you will develop and champion brand strategies and plans, advocating a people-powered, customer-focused approach in all you do.

RESEARCH, INSIGHTS & STRATEGY

·       Leverage and appropriately apply in-depth knowledge of a range of quant and qual research techniques

o   Assess existing customer and brand research and segmentation

o   Secure and leverage additional secondary customer research

o   Run audience interviews/ surveys to extract insights and/or test concepts and messages, and build a deep and evolving understanding of our customers wants, needs, and behaviors

o   Experience working with segmentation models  

o   Identify business opportunities and points of brand differentiation based on market analytics and category insights

·       Has full understanding of brand challenges and market situations, ideally in healthcare

·       Has comprehensive suite of strategy tools to hand for any client challenge

·       Is familiar with role of communications channels and the benefits of omnichannel engagement

·       Structures brand and comms plans with clear line of sight to growth and differentiation, and can connect insights to strategies to brand experiences

BRAND BUILDING

·       Uses positioning process, brand tools and tracking methodologies to build strong, differentiated brands based on powerful scientific foundations

·       Seasoned creator of value propositions

CREATIVE & COMMUNICATIONS

·       Develops ground-breaking briefs that have the potential to change the category and win awards and can confidently challenge and improve client briefs

·       Builds ‘on-brand’ creative and content strategies with line of sight to growth

·       Builds communications ideas based on behavioural insights

·       Defining and updating messaging frameworks in alignment with core claims documents 

·       Delivers innovative, measurable local and global comms plans and toolkits

DIGITAL

·       Have a strong understanding of digital channels and how to maximize awareness and engagement for target audiences online

·       Experience working with segmentation strategies and customer journey maps   

·       Know how to create efficiencies between traditional and digital channels   

·       Have a desire and drive to help healthcare brands deliver more value and a better experience to their audiences

CLIENT & TEAM ENGAGEMENT

·       Develop meaningful partnerships with our clients and partnering with them to interpret their strategic opportunities into a digital brand experience   

·       Tell great stories and construct beautiful, simple strategic presentations

·       Strong presenter, as well as a valued contributor to and facilitator of workshops & moderated meetings

·       Become an integral and dependable team mate to the larger engagement team made up of engagement strategists, social strategists, UX designers, and decision scientists   

·       Be entrepreneurial and comfortable working with limited but guided oversight   

·       Builds strong internal partnerships to nurture the work

·       Able to work across multiple client accounts simultaneously, to plan work, and to manage deadlines with the support of PMs

·       Collaborates effectively with the internal team to ideate, problem-solve, and succeed

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE

·       You are an experienced healthcare brand planner, with deep and broad experience of brand positioning and planning from within an agency environment

·       You are a creative problem solver, with a deep interest in building brands through messaging and content, who brings a fresh perspective to any challenge – always challenging yourself and those around you to connect thoughts & ideas in new ways

·       You’ll be able to inspire great creative work through creating engaging and exciting briefs … and create clarity for creative teams and clients in how to deliver the compelling content, conversations and experiences people need

·       You understand current trends in HCP and patient digital behaviours and engagement – and are excited about the prospect of partnering with clients to create game-changing work

·       You have broad experience across the range of digital touchpoints, channels and platforms leveraged by the pharmaceutical industry with expert knowledge in a few across the range of paid/owned/earned channels: social media, paid media, email/CRM, SFMC, Veeva, web, mobile, SEO, SEM

·       You’ll be a self-starter who has a demonstrable ability of working on a wide range of accounts and projects and be able to take most client requests in your stride – with a calm approach regardless of the deadline
