Haymarket Automotive is a division of Haymarket Media Group and comprises What Car?, Autocar, & Classic & Sports Car. The purpose of these three iconic & class-leading brands is to inform and entertain car buyers, sellers and owners. 

The role

A rare opportunity has arisen within the Haymarket Automotive division for an exceptional Subscriptions Marketing & Retention Executive to make a mark on the future of the Automotive brands.

You’ll be an experienced marketing executive with a strong background in magazine subscription acquisition and retention marketing, who can also turn their attention to broader marketing activities, particularly around e-commerce. 

You’ll work as part of a team responsible for creating marketing strategies and plans that will enable us to grow magazine subscriptions and revenue across all marketing channels and meet key success metrics for the Automotive division. This role will give the opportunity to be exposed to the full marketing funnel from acquisition to retention, and everything in between. 

You'll need to be someone who is very hands on - helping plan, manage, and optimise B2C marketing activity across all channels - ensuring we  send out the right message, delivered to the right audience, at the right time.

Role specifics:

  • You will work with the Marketing Director, and the wider teams in creating clearly defined growth strategies that drive subscriptions aquisition & retention, taking responsibility for the planning, implementation and results.
  • Using all marketing channels to acquire new customers and audiences, you will be responsible for managing and optimising paid, earned, and owned activities to drive subscription acquisition.
  • You will be responsible for devising and delivering retention marketing strategies that will enable us to deepen audience engagement and encourage loyalty. You will also develop a clear strategy for retaining and cross selling products to customers.

Experience & ability to deliver successful subscriptions marketing campaigns

A good head for numbers, able to look at data, spot trends and challenges and work out how to overcome them

Ability to work with a wide range of people using your own initiative including senior stakeholders

Prove you are self motivated, effective at multitasking, and capable of  prioritising and meeting deadlines

Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or other similar CRM) 

Good understanding of marketing data, including the ability to read and decipher data to gain actionable insights

Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

Enthusiasm for our brands
